This app is missing a required permission in Microsoft 365

Occasionally, as we add more features to the app, we have to add more OAuth permissions so that the new features can work. When this happens, automations and workflows which use the new features may fail if you have not used the permissions before.

If this happens, you will see the following error message in the automation or workflow:

This app is missing a required permission in Microsoft 365. Please sign in again, or reach out to your Microsoft 365 administrator for help.

To fix this problem, you should edit the workflow or automation and click on the “+Add new account” button:

This will allow you to sign into Microsoft 365 once more and agree to the new permission.

After doing this, re-run the automation or workflow and check the result.

If it fails again, you will need to ask your Microsoft 365 administrator to agree to the new permissions.
