App permissions

If an automation or workflow has failed, you may have seen the following error message:

Error while querying board 123456789: This could be an app permissions problem. View https://permissions.m365.app for more details.

Troubleshooting

Automations can fail for a number of reasons

• The use of mirror columns can cause unexpected issues

• One faulty item can cause the entire board to fail.

• The app may not have permission to access the board data

Fixing app permission problems

If the app was installed on All Workspaces, there should not be any problems with app permissions, but if the app was installed just for Specific Workspaces, then automations will work only in the workspaces specified, and fail in all other workspaces.
